I’ve got an old one for you today on this Friday! This is the Christopher Taylor house in Jonesborough. It was built in 1777 about a mile from where it sits now. Christopher Taylor was an officer in the French and Indian War and a major in the Revolutionary War. Andrew Jackson lived in this home for a time while he practiced law in Jonesborough between 1788 and 1789. The home was moved to its current location in 1974 to save it from demolition.
