I took another trip to the historic Hardison Mill Homestead this weekend for The Homestead Festival! This is a 2-day event on Rory Feek’s farm where speakers from homesteads all over the country come to share their tips and tricks for the experienced and newbies alike. Sessions range in content from growing your own food to raising pigs and other livestock. We even got to attend a Q&A with folks in the Amish community. There were vendors galore, fabulous local food trucks, and did I mention music? Julie Roberts brought out surprise guest Jamey Johnson. We had so much fun listening to Rory Feek perform right there in his own backyard. That old farmhouse had a party going on! And to top off the weekend, Kevin Costner took a break from filming Yellowstone to stop by and perform with his band Modern West! The fam and I had a blast and can’t wait for next year! They have already announced their next year dates – June 2nd and 3rd!
