St. Paul Church was built in 1871 in Bayou Goula, Louisiana. It is considered to be an example of a carpenter, folk version of Gothic Revival style. It was damaged heavily by Hurricane Gustav in September of 2009 and the community came together to restore and save this historic church.
When I took this picture, they were still working on its restoration. They are doing a beautiful job!
