Backroads Kentucky Home
There are a lot of things that catch my eye when I’m driving backroads. Multiple chimneys, a rusted roof, lots of windows, etc. The long gravel driveway drew my eye to this one and then to all those windows and next to the chimneys.

Beautiful Carpenter Gothic
It’s a SHOWSTOPPER y’all. Wincoma was built in 1871 by David Lehman. It’s been called “the finest board-and-batten house in central Kentucky”. It was built for Dr. Marcus Poynter who was local physician. Since 1924, four judges have lived in this home.

It was another day, another backroad. I like to choose the ones that look less-traveled. Cliché, I know. Sometimes they yield nothing and sometimes I find gems. I found a gem that day! I don’t know a lot about this gem. Yet. It’s called Carthell Place. Other names associated with it are Frierson and Vest.

New Victorian Built to Look Old
Check out this beautiful Victorian in Indiana! Let’s have some fun. What year do you think this was built? This lovely Victorian was built in …..dom dom dom….1998! It’s The Widow’s Walk Ice Creamery in Clarksville, Indiana and they have AMAZING ice cream! They also have a beautiful building and view of the river.
