    The Craige House in Mt Pleasant, Tennessee was built around 1900 for Arch W. Craige. He was the co-owner of a local hardware store. This one caught my eye with that turret and its fancy iron finial. Love it! I feel like I can spot a turret from a mile away!

    Driving through backroads in Tennessee we came across this beautiful old log cabin nestled up on a wooded ridge. I got home to research it and discovered that it was built around 1817. For a homestead over 200 years old, I’d say it’s in fantastic shape! Goodness, what memories this little log cabin holds.

    This mammoth of a house is on the infamous Kilpatrick Row in Bridgeport, Alabama. It was built in 1892 along with 7 other homes very similar to itself. Each one divided in the center to house two families. The first of their kind in the south. There are only 6 of the 8 still standing.

    The David Looney House in Columbia, Tennessee was built circa 1835. Can you believe it? It was originally a federal style brick townhome and was renovated in 1839. Nathan Vaught, a prominent architect in the area, added the ornate porches to front and sides of the home.

    The Wilkinson-Keele House was built in 1888. The bricks used to build the home were made on-site and it has retained a lot of its original details.
