Old houses are truly my favorite thing to feature, and I’m excited to begin sharing historic homes that are available for purchase. I recognize that old houses are not always the easiest type of home to sell. It takes just the right buyer to want to take on the love of an old home. Thankfully, many of my followers are actively searching for an old house to love! I am asked if the homes that I post are for sale, ALL THE TIME. Others simply love seeing these properties still standing, want to share what their dreams consist of, or let’s be real – some simply just want to be nosey and see inside.
What Listings Are A Good Fit?
Because Pretty Old Places is dedicated exclusively to pretty, old, and historic homes, I prefer to feature listings for houses built before 1940. For the right home, I may make exceptions for this.
High quality photos are preferred!
I reserve the right to decline any listing that I do not feel is a good fit for my feed or audience. This ensures the content remains consistent, curated, and true to the spirit of Pretty Old Places.
This is a new venture for me, as I’ve traditionally shared only photos and videos I’ve captured myself. That said, I love the idea of spotlighting wonderful old homes that can be purchased, preserved, and loved for generations to come. After all, the ultimate goal of the old house community is to keep old homes lived in and loved on!
I’ll be testing this out and making adjustments as needed based on how it resonates with my old house friends.
Middle Tennessee Listings
If your listing is located in Middle Tennessee and you’re interested, I would possibly be up to visit your listing and personally capture photos and video for even more content and exposure. Make sure to mention this if you’d love for me to check it out!
